Nobody likes to think about being stuck on the side of the road due to an accident, flat tire or weather problem, but it happens.  That’s why every vehicle needs a few basic roadside safety items on hand for emergencies. We learned this lesson the hard way on January 28, 2014, when an ice storm struck our hometown of Birmingham, AL. Hazardous road conditions forced thousands of motorists to abandon their vehicles and seek shelter in nearby businesses or churches. Many people found themselves unprepared, and after it was all over, people began to truly appreciate the value of a roadside safety kit. We’ve put together a list of 15 roadside safety items that will help you (and your customers) be prepared for anything. 1. Flashlight (We recommend one that has a flashing emergency light, but even a pocket flashlight works.)
2. Jumper Cables (It’s easiest to just include these in a kit or case with your logo.)
3. First Aid Kit (From simple to complex, there’s something for every budget.)
4. Pen & Paper (In case there’s an accident, you’ll need a place to take note of insurance and contact information.)
5. Basic Tools (Nothing fancy here, just a screwdriver, wrench and tire gauge will do.)

3. Air Compressor (This kit includes one.)
4. Blanket (For winter months, this is a must.)
5. Ice Scraper (This is useful even when it’s not a true emergency.)

8. Portable charger for cell phone (What’s worse than being stranded with no cell phone?)
