Expedited production can be a lifesaver during the holidays, with some suppliers able to ship in as little as one business day after art approval. However, you’ll want to keep in mind that rush orders have special guidelines to make the process move more quickly than normal.
Typical Rush Service Order Guidelines:
- Rush fees will apply. For most suppliers, that’s a $50-100 rush fee, but some suppliers also charge an extra percentage of the product cost as well.
- You’ll have to waive an art proof from the supplier. JDA will still generate an in-house art proof, but you won’t get a formal proof from the supplier before production begins.
- Some suppliers, especially those with a one-day turnaround, will only ship to one address for a rush order, so be sure to let your account executive know if you need multiple drop shipments.
- You might need to expedite shipping. Quotes are always available upon request.
- Allow some margin for error. At the height of the holiday season, we can’t guarantee exact delivery dates, so the sooner you can place your order, the better.
